About Us - The Georgia WaterWise Council

Water is one of our most precious natural resources and the basis for one of the most challenging issues facing Georgia today. Our water resources are becoming more limited each day as population growth places an ever-increasing strain on our fresh water supplies. Georgia has learned the hard way that waiting for the onset of a drought before implementing water conservation measures is too little, too late.

What Is the Georgia Water Wise Council?
The Georgia Water Wise Council is a partnership between government, education, business, and citizens. Its purpose is to promote water conservation throughout the state. The Council relies on volunteers such as yourself. The Council continuously seeks the viewpoints and cooperation of various interests to ensure that our state’s water is used sustainably.
