Water Conservation and Water Quality in the Home and Garden

The average Georgian consumes 10% more than the average water user nationally therefore reducing our demand for water is an obvious first step in finding new supplies of water. In most urban and suburban areas of Georgia, residential water use is the largest water user. Metropolitan areas like Atlanta in other parts of the country such as San Antonio, Texas and Cary, North Carolina have reduced residential water use by 20-30% since the 1990s.
